Board Membership
Board Membership
Stepping Stones is looking for experienced leaders in business, government, philanthropy or nonprofits to serve as board members. Specifically, we need savvy individuals with expertise in areas such as fundraising; social or public policy; strategic planning; marketing, including public relations and social media; attorneys; and human resources professionals. Experienced candidates who have served on high performing boards would be especially helpful as we position Stepping Stones for long-term sustainability and future growth. A passion for addressing the needs of low-income and homeless families in our community is a must. Stepping Stones values diversity, and is looking for board members who represent the many diverse populations within our County.
Board members meet at least four times a year. Stepping Stones is a working board, with members actively serving on one or more committees. Board members are expected to make personal annual financial contributions, and to support the agency through a variety of fundraising and advocacy programs during the year.
Interested candidates should send a letter indicating their interest and qualifications, along with a resume or biographical statement via email to our Executive Director, Stacey Erd, at Stacey@SteppingStonesShelter.org.
